What this site is

Scripture Search is a topical Bible library built and operated by Photizo Labs LLC. Each topic page pairs Bible passages with an introduction, a written prayer, and a reflection question, organized around the real situations people bring to scripture.

Scripture text

Verse text is quoted verbatim from the translation named on each verse card — by default the Berean Standard Bible (public domain) — as provided through the api.Bible service, with the publisher’s attribution preserved on every card and share image. We never paraphrase scripture and present it as quotation.

Every verse reference on a topic page is machine-validated against the quoted translation before publication — a reference that fails to resolve to real verse text blocks the page from shipping. This prevents the misattributed or invented references that circulate widely online.

Who writes the content

Topic selections, introductions, prayers, reflections, and article prose are written and curated by the Scripture Search editorial team at Photizo Labs. They aim to reflect the broad center of historic Christian teaching, without denominational advocacy. They are devotional writing, not pastoral counsel — and the site says so where it matters.

Where AI is (and isn’t) used

The curated topic library — everything described above — is editorial content, reviewed by people. Separately, the site’s search box uses an AI model only as a fallback: when a query matches no curated topic, the model suggests relevant passages, and every suggested reference is validated against the Bible text service before anything is shown. AI-assisted results are labeled in the interface.

Safety before scripture

Searches that signal an emergency — suicidal intent, abuse, overdose — are routed to verified crisis resources (988, the Crisis Text Line, and others) before any scripture is shown. No page on this site is a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or pastoral care.

Corrections

If you find an error — a wrong reference, a misquote, a theological concern — please tell us via the contact page. Corrections are made promptly and the page’s “updated” date reflects them.
